About

A little background about bloom

We’re a Dublin based advertising agency. We are only interested in effective advertising that helps our clients sell more. We are successful because our ideas make more money for our clients than they cost.

We work with Irish Distillers/Pernod Ricard, Batchelors, Jacob Fruitfield, 3 Mobile, Crown Paints Ireland, Dubliner Cheese, Lifestyle Sports, Pat The Baker, Anglo Irish Bank, Stakelums, Alternatives, iRadio, Red FM –– among others –– above, below and through the line.

bloom was formed in June 2000 and is named after Leopold Bloom, the adman and protagonist in James Joyce’s “Ulysses”.

We are based in The Black Church, an imposing faux gothic church built in the 18th century to recall the Temple of Soloman. The building got it’s name because it is built using a dark slate which resembles slick obsidian when wet.

Local rumour has it that if you run around the outside of the church at midnight three times you meet ‘ol Nick himself. We’ve tried it and we’re still here. Though every once in a while someone in the office will get the faintest tang of brimstone.
